Offshore For Sure events at Blue Week and ICOE OEE 2026 the Hague
ICOE OEE comes to the Hague!
Offshore For Sure (O4S) | 14/09/2026
How can we harness the power of the sea to shape a more sustainable energy future? From wave and tidal energy to floating solar and offshore energy storage, the answer lies not only in developing new technologies, but also in connecting the people, knowledge and expertise needed to bring them forward.
From September to October 2026, The Hague’s wider Blue Week programme and the International Conference on Ocean Energy and Offshore Energy Exhibition (ICOE-OEE 2026) will bring ocean energy innovation into focus. Taking place from 5–7 October, ICOE-OEE will welcome researchers, technology developers, policymakers, investors and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, showcase innovations and explore the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.
Beyond the conference halls, Blue Week will extend these conversations across the city through exhibitions, innovation tours, site visits, networking events, film screenings and educational activities.
For Offshore For Sure (O4S), this provides an opportunity to connect different audiences with offshore renewable energy innovation: inspiring the next generation, sharing project insights and bringing Dutch and Flemish expertise to the international ocean energy community.
Offshore For Sure in action
Beyond the surface photo exhibition
How do you bring complex offshore technologies to life? Sometimes, a photograph can tell the story better than words.Through the Beyond the Surface photo exhibition, O4S will help showcase the people, projects and technologies driving Dutch offshore renewable energy innovation. The exhibition highlights the technologies at the heart of O4S, including wave and tidal energy, floating solar and offshore energy storage.
The exhibition will be on display at the Atrium in The Hague from 15–25 September 2026. Discover the exhibition
Bringing O4S research and innovation to the international stage at ICOE OEE 2026
At ICOE OEE 2026, O4S will present its research and innovation through poster and speaker presentations. These contributions will share project insights on education and training, research, technology development and cross-border collaboration, connecting O4S results with the wider ocean energy community.
One Sea, Two Countries, Five Technologies
On the 6th of October, O4S will host the ICOE OEE side event One Sea, Two Countries, Five Technologies, bringing together technology developers, researchers and industry stakeholders to discuss the project's experiences and lessons learned. The event will address barriers to commercialisation and explore how collaboration between the Netherlands and Flanders can accelerate the development and deployment of offshore renewable energy technologies, supporting a sustainable blue economy.
