Wrapping up the year with the O4S partners - reflecting, connecting and moving forward

As the year comes to an end, the O4S project is also getting steps closer to demonstrationg their pilot projects. The partnership had their 2nd bi-annual meeting for the year to discuss the way forward, jointly refine the roadmap for the months ahead, strengthen collaborations and work on the business cases.

The consortium received updates from Dutch Wave Power (DWP), who are currently constructing the main platform for their wave energy device. This milestone marks an important step toward demonstration and showcases the innovative progress within the O4S project.

The partnership also explored ways to further support the offshore renewable energy industry through education and skills development. Discussions focused on how to ensure that training programmes, masterclasses and online courses developed within the project remain closely aligned with industry needs, reflecting the evolving technologies, challenges, and opportunities within the sector.

Some highlights of the meeting included the site visit to see the Water2Energys tidal turbine at Vlissingen.

With strong collaborative momentum the O4S project enters the new year with courage and determination. The coming months will focus on final preparations for demonstration, continued refinement of business cases, and expanding stakeholder engagement across the broader offshore renewable energy community.
