The 47th Wereldhavendagen, held from September 6-8, 2024, celebrated Rotterdam’s maritime heritage and showcased sustainable, innovative technologies shaping the future of global shipping. The event featured exciting water demonstrations, boat tours, navy displays, and educational activities for all ages. Visitors could engage with industry leaders to explore green technologies and understand ports' key roles in the energy transition, including as hubs for offshore renewables.

Offshore For Sure participated at the Europa Pavilion, where thousands learned about the EU’s support through Interreg Flanders-Netherlands. We engaged curious children, industry leaders, and policymakers alike.

Dutch Wave Power

Dutch Wave Power is leading the way with innovative solutions that harness the potential of ocean waves.

Bluespring

Hernieuwbare energie op zee krijgt een flinke impuls! 15 partners uit Vlaanderen en Nederland bundelen hun expertise in het Offshore For Sure-project om de energietransitie op zee te versnellen. Onze kusten zijn gezegend met een overvloed aan energiebronnen, waaronder getijden- en golfenergie. De ontwikkeling van een CO2-vrij energiesysteem met minder afhankelijkheid van gas is een vraag die speelt op lokaal, regionaal, nationaal en Europees niveau. En de regio moet uiteraard veilig blijven. Daarom is de behoefte aan integrale oplossingen voor klimaatmitigatie en klimaatadaptatie groot. Met toenemende installaties op zee is ook integrale aandacht voor cybersecurity van belang. Veelbelovende offshore energieoplossingen Vijf ontwikkelaars van energieoplossingen bundelen daarom hun krachten in Offshore For Sure (O4S), ondersteund door specialisten uit België en Nederland. Deze vijf demonstratieprojecten zijn innovatieve oplossingen van technologie ontwikkelaars met een track-record op het gebied van getijdenenergie, golfenergie, offshore drijvende zonne-energie en energieopslag.

The International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE 2026) to be held in The Hague.
The Hague, the Netherlands, 17 October 2024 - The International Energy Agency's Ocean Energy Systems (IEA-OES) announced that the next edition of the International Conference on Ocean Energy, ICOE 2026, will take place in The Hague, Netherlands. The announcement was made at this year's event, held September 17-19 in Melbourne, Australia. This energy conference, especially focused on wave, tidal, ocean current, OTEC and salinity gradient technologies, will be organized by the Dutch Energy from Water Association (EWA), in collaboration with partners Campus@Sea, The Hague & Partners, Netherlands Water Partnership (NWP), TU Delft, IRO and NedZero.
